These Terms and Conditions govern use of bathroomshop.co.za and transactions with Bathroom Shop. By using the website or accepting a quotation, you agree to these terms. They should be read with our Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

Website information

We aim to keep product descriptions, images, dimensions, colours, availability and prices accurate. Images and screen colours may differ from the physical product, and manufacturer specifications may change. Customers must confirm measurements, compatibility, finishes, installation requirements and intended use before ordering.

Quotations and orders

A website listing, cart, quotation request or automated acknowledgement does not by itself guarantee acceptance or availability. An order is confirmed when Bathroom Shop accepts it and any required payment has cleared. Quotations are valid for seven (7) days unless the quotation states otherwise and may be subject to stock availability, supplier confirmation and delivery charges.

We may correct an obvious pricing, description or availability error before accepting an order. If an error affects an accepted order, we will contact you and provide the options required by law, which may include proceeding at the corrected terms or receiving a refund.

Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in South African rand unless stated otherwise. The applicable quotation or checkout will indicate taxes and delivery charges where available. Payment must be made using an approved method. Orders may be held until payment is verified. Customers must not make unauthorised, fraudulent or unlawful payments.

We reserve the right to increase prices on products should the costs increase for any reason beyond our control.

  • Pricing on website quotes is only an estimate and not guaranteed.
  • Prices could change without any prior notification.
  • A formal quotation must be obtained before payment is made.
  • Quotes are valid for seven (7) days unless the quotation states otherwise.
  • Omissions and exceptions may occur.
  • Prices exclude delivery. Please request a delivery charge before payment is made.
  • Products are subject to stock availability from our suppliers.
  • Images may differ from actual products.
  • Bathroom Shop cannot be held responsible for any pricing/system errors that may occur, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Sometimes (fortunately rarely) data issues may occur. Before an order is accepted, Bathroom Shop does not have to honor a transaction where pricing is displayed incorrectly. If a pricing error affects an accepted order, we will contact you and provide the options required by law, which may include proceeding at the corrected terms or receiving a refund.

Availability and special orders

Stock information and supplier lead times are estimates. Special-order, customised or specifically procured products may have additional conditions that will be disclosed before acceptance. If an ordered product becomes unavailable, we will communicate reasonable alternatives or the applicable refund options.

Delivery and collection

Delivery timing, charges, address requirements, inspection and collection arrangements are described in our Delivery Policy and the accepted order or quotation. Customers must provide accurate delivery and contact information and arrange reasonable access for delivery.

Installation and product suitability

Unless expressly agreed in writing, installation is not included. Products should be installed by suitably qualified persons in accordance with manufacturer instructions, applicable standards and legal requirements. Do not install a product that appears damaged, incomplete, incorrect or incompatible. Bathroom Shop is not responsible for loss caused by improper installation, misuse or unauthorised alteration, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Returns, defects and warranties

Returns, refunds, defective goods and warranty assistance are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy, applicable manufacturer warranties and South African law. Manufacturer warranties supplement and do not replace statutory consumer rights.

Acceptable website use

You may not misuse the website, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape content unlawfully or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes. Website text, graphics, branding and other material are protected by applicable intellectual-property law and may not be reproduced without permission except as allowed by law.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Bathroom Shop is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from website interruption, third-party services, delays outside our reasonable control, misuse, unsuitable selection or improper installation. This clause does not exclude liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct or any consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

Events outside reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier disruption, transport interruption, extreme weather, power or network failure, civil disturbance or government action. We will take reasonable steps to communicate and mitigate the effect.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them when our services, practices or legal obligations change. The version applicable to an accepted order is the version in effect when that order was accepted, unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise.
